Every city in America is faced with having hundreds of wireless access points attached to business networks which are wide open and available to anyone with just a few basic components. In this video you will see just how easy it is to detect, locate and connect to wireless networks of which the majority are not protected and are on the "inside" of the firewall or broadband/Internet connection. This is like leaving an office network cable laying outside in the parking lot for anyone to connect up to.

NetConnX engineers regularly inform business owners of their exposure only to hear the most common response "what do I have that anyone would want". That is only 25% of the issue, the remaining 75% of the issue is what can someone else do with your network and technology infrastructure without your knowledge. Your computers can be used to distribute illegal materials, child pornography, stolen or cracked software, copied games all without your knowledge. Eventually you will get past the issue, however your business, your clients or customers and your employees will suffer. One of our clients actually had this happen to them, she said to me "what do I have that anyone would want on my systems?". What she has was anonymous access to give to anyone who wanted it, to do anything they wanted without her business having any knowledge of it.
