NetConnX Technologies offers harsh environment IT Team and mobile data center vehicles to help deploy computing infrastructure in Afghanistan.

Los Angeles, CA, March 14th 2002 – NetConnX Technologies offers to send a harsh environment IT specialist team to aid the newly formed Afghanistan Government setup its technology infrastructure.

Several organizations around the world have offered computer and networking gear to the new Afghanistan Government, including the IRS which has offered hundreds of computers. The problem they are faced is obtaining qualified IT personnel to deploy them. “We have offered a team of IT experts with years of experience working in harsh environments to go immediately” Said Troy Saxton-Getty, CEO of NetConnX Technologies. With a mobile computer vehicle recently designed by NetConnX Technologies, they can deploy a functional self contained technology hosting platform within hours of the team’s arrival. This will get the systems operational and allow time to put the permanent infrastructure in place. The vehicle is equipped with a mobile server farm, routers, firewalls, wireless LAN/WAN and satellite communications capability.

Afghanistan is faced with having to rebuild structures, communications, roads, banking, and utilities simultaneously, all of which include some form of computing technology to move forward.

NetConnX Technologies personnel have served in similar harsh conditions and have worked with several government agencies in locations such as Bosnia, Mozambique, Yemen, Angola, Bangladesh, Rangoon, Bolivia and Zimbabwe all of which at the time were challenging environments with variable levels of civil distress, war and unstable infrastructures. “Many of our team experts are former military personnel or have military training, which makes the job a bit less stressful, but carrying network and computer tools leaves you more or less defenseless.” Said Glen Weiler, Business Continuity Officer for NetConnX Technologies.
